Overview

Ant-Man And The Wasp – Quantumania is a movie based on the Comic books character Ant-man which was released on 17th February 2023. The story is continued from the movie Avengers : EndGame where we saw the return of Ant-Man from a long break after the fight with Thanos in the movie Avengers : End Game. It is from the sequel of the movies Ant-man, Ant-man And The Wasp followed by Avengers : End Game. This is the thirty-first movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe and also the first movie of Phase five.

The movie is directed by Python Reed and star casts includes Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly role played by Kang the Conqueror , Quaz role played by William Jackson, Will Murra role played by Jentorra ,Michale Doglus role played by Hank Pyne and Katre Newton role played by Stature.

Synopsis

Ant-man and the wasp reunite again and explore the quantum realm but discover new creatures. It is an upcoming superhero film based on the Comic book of Marvel Studio which is planned to release in the year 2023. The story is continued from the movie Ant Man and the Wasp where Wasp helps Ant – Man to defeat the enemies. It is from the sequel of the movie Ant-man, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Avengers : End Game followed by Loki First Season and the thirty first movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe and also the first movie of Phase five. The movie is created by Peyton Reed and casted by Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Jonathan Major as Kang the Conqueror and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Both Ant-Man and the Wasp continue their Journey in the Galaxies while they hope their parents Hank Pynn find them exploring the Quantum Realm. During the adventure they faced many new creatures which led them to push their limits that made them successful in defeating their enemies.

Plot Of Ant-Man And The Wasp – Quantumania

Scott Lang’s life was going pretty good after the fight with Thanos and saving the world from him. He became more famous and got more respect from the government of his home town San Francisco. Life was also going pretty well with his girlfriend as well also new member of Avenger named Hope Van Dyne and also owned and running her own company and also using Pym Particles to protect the world and also keeping her family happy Hank Pyme and Janet Van Dyne got reunited after 3 years of stuck inside the Quantum Realm and also still refuses to exit from it although he got the chance to come out. The only thing that is keeping him there is because of his Cassie, who is now staying there with hopes as he has already been arrested two times because of the protection that he has made over there. After Scott and Hope get bail from the jail they get into a huge Argument where she blames that his father is using his fame and not saving her from here and also not for the world and so now it is under a new threat as it can destroy the world. Between the conversation she accidentally said that she had her own super suit but she quickly tried to divert the topic as her father questioned her further.

Both of them went to the Pyne residence to have dinner and the previous conversation led to a device which both Hope and Cassie had been working on with respect to a Quantum Satellite. They explain the whole working of the device as it could establish a connection between the real world and the quantum realm. Janet went mad thinking that it could send signals in the quantum world and could shut it down from that side but this led to an explosion which took five of them inside the realm along with some some ants in which he was working on to increase the intelligence. The whole Pyne family gets separated from Hope and Janet on almost the other side of the world in Quantum Realm.

Somehow Scott manages to rescue Cassie from falling into death so she shows gratitude to him and names him as the freedom fighter also Hope and Pyne are guided the path through the Quantum Realm by the help of Janet and later meet with Axis along with his old friend. Hope and Janet tried to learn the language of the freedom fighter and learn of who was once the hometown of the freedom fighter. Janet meets with his friend Krylar, Krylar is known as the ruler guard attack and also Janet’s relative and helps them to escape using his own ship. But during the time of escape the freedom fighters were attacked by the MODOK. Soon Scott and Janet discover that Daren Cross is the new deformed from the new Yellow Jacket whose suit was destroyed during the fight and later left behind with only the head and the little limb joined with his body which he used to hover in the chair.

Scott was arrested by the MODOK and forced to make a deal with the man named Kang who needs help to get the multiverse core power. Janet explains to Hope that Kang was a scientist in real life while fixing his Time chair and stuck into the Quantum Realm. Janet realizes that his ship will lead to the destruction of the world thus he Keeps his ship Sabotage and will lead to destruction of several lives. Kang took away several lives and fought to conqueror his prestige and power which he lost during his past lives. Ant man went into multiverse core power and shirk it with help of wasp because Kang was against them but somehow Kang stole it from them.

Kang Explain his origin of where he stays and his planning to Thwart The council Of Wang so that he could exit the Quantum Realm. So to stop Kang Ant-Man along with Wasp and with the help of the Smarter man which he was working in the real world to make it more intelligent. They ordered to kill MADOK as he was behind this manipulation for destroying the Quantum World. Wank called his ant and told to distract them while he will do all his job during the distraction. Janet opens a portal which will lead them to the earth and keeps it open until Scott the last person returns. He was blasted away by Kang and throw him away from the portal and tried to kill Scott by having a hand to hand fight but he does not succeed to get him and manage to escape from him although Scott’s armor was already destroyed and at last escape from the Quantum Realm along with Hope and Janet leaving behind Kang in that world as he might be harmful for the earth since his intention was to get back his power by killing numerous people of the world.

End Credit Explanation

After returning home Scott was happy in life and gave a surprise birthday for Cassie as he was missing him so much. But suddenly he remembers Kangs words as he thinks that Kang might not be dead and the door might once open and he might come out but then decided not to yield for now and celebrate with his family for now. The council thinks that Knag might be Dead in the multiverse. They think that Avengers might have faced Kang in the as they have not touched the fabric of the multiverse but even thinking of the killing of their own. It is seen that in the 20th century Loki went to the party where he met M. Mobius and listening to that Mobius was not worried while Loki was terrified.

Reference To Other Movies And Connections

After the post credit scene we might say that we might see a link with the movie Avengers and we might see a new movie of Ant man in future phase as we might see the return of Kang.

As the avengers new movie will be coming in 2024 then we might see Wang as the villain in that movie as we saw link of Kang with Avengers in the post credit scene.

After the Phase 4 of Marvel Cinematic Universe Kevin Feige officially published on 17th February 2018 that he wanted to create a direct sequel of the movie Ant-Man after the last movie that is Avengers And The Wasp whose script writing has already started after one year. On 17th July 2023 they officially released the movie and named it Ant And The Wasp – Quantiumania.

The movie released on 17th 2023 and it was a blockbuster movie in theaters and got ratings of some of the famous sites like 6.9 in IMDB , 67% in rotten tomatoes , 67% in metacritic. Now the movie can be watched in Disney+ which is an OTT platform. The length of the movie is around 2 hours 5 minutes without the post credit scene.
