Overview
Thor : Love And Thunder is a movie based on the Comic books character Thor which was released on 8th July 2022. The story is continued from the movie Avengers : EndGame where we saw the return of Thor from a long break after the fight with Thanos in the movie Avengers : End Game. It is from the sequel of the movies Thor, Thor : Dark World followed by The movie Thor:Ragnarok. This is the twenty-ninth movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe and also the thirteenth movie of Phase four.
The movie is directed by Takia Waititi and star casts includes Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher, Thor role played by Chris Hemworth , King Valkyrie role played by Tessa Thompsan, Zeus role played by Russel Crowe , Iane Foster or Mighty Thor role played by Natalia Fortman, Korg role played by Taika Waititi and Sif role was played by Jaimie Alexander.
Synopsis
After the retirement of Thor from the fights he was finding his inner peace but he again had to come back due to a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher whose main motivation is to kill all the Gods. but Gorr was more powerful and Thor was also not having his Hammer thus he took the help to Valkyrie, Korg and his Ex- girlfriend Jane Foster who made thor surprise by picking up thor hammer. They both went into a cosmic adventure to stop Gorr before it gets too late but at the same time Jane Foster or the Mighty Thor was also not well as she was suffering from cancer and she was only getting power from the Thor Hammer.
Plot Of Thor : Love And Thunder
Gorr was the last survivor among his people along with his little daughter. Both of them are starving in the middle of the desert without food and water for more than two weeks. Gorr prays to his God Rapu for help but by that time his daughter dies because of starvation. But suddenly he heard a voice and found a Oasis where he sas Rapu who has recently willed the owner of an ancient weapon named as the All Black The Necrosword. Rapu saw Gorr and made fun of him and refused to help him. As Gorr feels that he is betrayed by his own God Gorr claims the Necrosword and kills him and also asks the blessing such that he could kill all the God from here onward he was named a Gorr The God Butcher.
On the other hand Thor continued his journey with the Guardian of the Galaxy to reduce the enemies from all over the universe and also to get himself back in shape. Although Thor was not happy with his physical state and his fitness so decided to retire from the position by at the same time a call emerges talking about the appearance of Gorr The God Butcher who is on a mission to kill all the Gods of the Universe. One of them was Sif who was defeated by Gorr during this event. According to the call both Korg and Thor decided to go to Sif while the Guardians left inorder to save others. Sif was leaning on the ground and told Thor that Gorr will be attacking Asgard next.
Dr. Jane Foster was going through a treatment as she was suffering from stage four of cancer. She gave her full effort in finding a cure but failed to do so and started losing hope. But Foster wants to travel to the new Asgard as she thinks that their magic can cure her. Thor took her to Asgard with full protection. Mjolnir saw her condition and got to know about the disease to provide her with power of alMighty Thor which is the only power that is making her strong.
On the same night Gorr uses his Necrosword to Asgard along with the Shadow Monster. Thor came with Sif And Korg to defeat him along with The king Valkyrie and Jane Foster to which Thor got surprised by seeing her like that. Although they manage to bring the shadow monster, Gorr succeeds in escaping from there along with the Asgard children. Among those children there was Heimdall’s son named Axl Heimdalson. As everybody knows that Gorr will be strong there so Thor along with mighty Thor , Korg and Valkyrie went to Omnipotence city to warn Zeus about Gorr power and also went to ask for help from him.
Zeus does not believe about the threat of Gorr for their city instead he captures Thor while other others stop him from getting captured so Zeus uses a thunderbolt and breaks Korg body into pieces. Only his face was intact while whole body was broken. On the otherside Thor uses the thunderbolt to impale Zeus on his chest which king Valkyrie steals it to escape from there and also Thor gets to know about the Cancer Diagnosis condition of Jane Foster.
After their arrival they tried to locate the children and they realize that they fall in a trap while Gorr tried to take Strom breaker to reche the Eternity so that he could wish for the extinct for the God and also get back Shadow Monster.but he was forced to go back back to Asgard as both Valkyrie and Might Thor got weaken before the stormbreaker could transport through the bifrost he steals it. Thor was informed about this also got the information that Jane Foster is getting weaker as the effect of the magic is reducing so he kept her back in the world to recover from cancer, Valkyrie was also unable to fight back so she gave the Thunderbolt to Thor to fight with Gorr but Gorr is much powerful now as he also got the StormBreaker with him.
Now Gorr started his main work to open the Eternity gate using Storm Breaker in the middle of the Universe. Thor arrives with the Thunderbolt and finds the children. He gave them the power of Thunderbolt to fight along with him. The power was enough to fight with the rest of the shadow Monsters. Gorr got more strength now and as Jane Foster sensed that Thor is under danger so she again took the hammer and decided to fight with Thor. She went to the place with help of Valkyrie’s winged Horse. Mighty Thor uses his power to break the Necrosword into pieces. Thor got back his Storm Breaker and used it to send the children back home but they could stop Gorr from entering Eternity.
Thor called Gorr and requested him to take love before death and went to mighty Thor. Gorr, after seeing that, remembered his love for his daughter and decided to relieve Mighty Thor of the cancer and send it to Valhalla. Gorr now requests Thor to Take care of his daughter before he dies from the curse of Necrosword.
End Credit Explanation
In Asgard a new statue has been erected as Jane Foster or Mighty Thor. Sif and Valkyrie started giving training to their children to fight against enemies. Now Thor has started growing Gorr daughter as it is like his own daughter and now he only has the Storm Breaker as his hammer gets destroyed during the fight with Gorr. They both now started traveling all over the galaxy to provide assistance to whoever needed and now getting famous as the name of Love and Thunder. In the meantime Zeus started recovering from the injuries and sent his son Herculis to kill Thor. Jane Foster was welcomed by Heimdall in valhalla. And there was no loki in this movie.
Reference To Other Movies And Connections
After watching the movie and also the post credit scene we could say that we might see Thor along with Gore’s daughter together fighting in the Avengers movie as we already saw both of them fighting together as the name Love and Thunder in the post credit scene. The movie also has a connection with Avengers: End Game from where Thor went with the Guardian Of the Galaxy inorder to recover from the loss and the movie Thor: Love and Thunder begins from that scene where Avengers : End Game ends. We might also see a new movie Thor might fight with Hercules as we saw in the Post credit scene of the movie that Zeues sent his son HErculis to kill him. This shows a new beginning, a new story of Hercules and Thor.

Production
After the Phase 3 of Marvel Cinematic Universe Kevin Feige officially published on 11th June 2014 that he wanted to create a direct sequel of the movie Thor after the last movie that is Thor : Ragnarok whose script writing has already started after one year. On 8th July 2022 they officially released the movie and named it Thor : Love And Thunder.
Ratings , Review And Where To Watch Black Panther : Wakanda Forever
The movie released on 8th July 2022 and it was a blockbuster movie in theaters and got ratings of some of the famous sites like 6.3 in IMDB , 64% in rotten tomatoes , 57% in metacritic. Now the movie can be watched in Disney+ which is an OTT platform. The length of the movie is around 1 hour 50 minutes without the post credit scene.
