Overview

Black Widow is a movie based on the Comic books character Black Widow which was released on 9th July 2021. This is a sequel of movie Captain America : Civil War and the prequel of the movie Avengers : Infinity War and in the present with the introduction of the characters who are from SHIELD to save people from Enemies. This is the twenty-fourth movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe and also the fourth movie of Phase four.

The movie is directed by cate Scotland and star casts includes Scarlett jhonson as Black widow, yalen belova role played by Floreca puge , Red Guardian role played by david harbor , rake mansion role played by O-T Fagbena , William Hurt role played by Thaddus Ross, Rachel Weisz role played by Milana Vostokop.

Synopsis

This is a full thrilling action packed spy movie where Black widow aka Natasha finds out all her dark secrets and all the dark conspiracy that haunts her from the past. While all the Force are giving their effort in bringing her down. Now she also has to fight with her history of being a spy and with her broken relationship before becoming a part of Avengers.

Plot Of Black Widow

The plot was from the time of 1995 when young Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova have been throwed away from the home in Ohio by their parents Alexi Shostakov and the former Black Widow named as Melina Vostokoff. They were sent to Dreykov and went through the red room for further training.

After 21 years Black widow returns in the Battle between the Avengers at the Halle Airport. She negotiated with the government for the violation done by the Sokovia Accords. By that time she somehow managed to escape from the United state Secretary of the state Thaddeus Ross and went to a safeguard in Norway where he found Rick Manson and reunited with her. While still Belova still working in the red Room as a helper of the trainer which is in Morocco. Belova killed a former Black Widow named Oksana. The only reason to kill her is to come in contact with a girl called Red Dust which helps in getting the control of the Red room to her. She has also sent the Antidote to Black Widow which might help her to return back to come home and help her.

Although they have to leave the place, Black Widow was not interested in driving the Bike by that time they were attacked by the Task master who is also behind the Antidote that is the Red Dust. However Black Widow manages to escape from the hand of Taskmaster and gets to know that the antidote which is Red Dust belongs to Belova. He also gets to know that the red room is still open and actively working along with its leader named as Deyvok who is still alive. But before joining the SHIELD years ago her main task was to kill Dreyvok so the red room completely stopped working. To kill him she blasts a building which consists of Dreykov and his young daughter named Antonia and both were sentenced to death. Black widow and Belova after escaping from the Taskmaster they went to Mason to ask for backup. And he provided them with an aircraft to escape from there.

Black Widow and Belova help Shostakova to escape from the prison and to know where Dreykov is now. In answer he informs them that they have to speak with Vostokoff who is recently living in a farm which is in russia and was made by controlling the mind of pigs. Then Belova informs the black widow that they are actually not the real family. Shoatakova also agreed with it and wished if they could be a family. But Vostokoff became an imposter among them and transferred the location of them to Dreykov. So his agent came and took them to the red room which is on an aerial base and also hidden from the outside world.

After finding Black Widow and Belova, Dreykov congratulates Vostokoff for helping him to find them and gets to know that both Vostokoff and Black Widow use face masks to travel all over the farm and help to escape from enemies. Soon taskMaster gets to know that Black Widow is the daughter of Dreyvok who has faced many injuries during the explosion and to keep her alive he has to put some chip inside her head to keep her alive and make her stable. This chip has made her a perfect soldier to fight against the enemies. Black Widow also discovers that she cannot do any damage to Dreykov because he had inserted a chip in every Black Widow so that no one could do any damage to him. And also discover that all over the time Black Widow has been Controlled by Dreyvok using his controller desk. Therefore she intentionally took a punch in her Nasal which helped her to get control of a nerve in her nasal which also helped her to get out of the control of the chip and hit Dreykov.

Now Vostokoff tries to get out the flying ship engine. On the Other Hand Shastokova attacked Atonia and fought with her while Belova went in search of other black widows who were used by Dreykov to protect him. Belova created a red dust antidote and released all the widows from the mind chip. On the other hand black Widow somehow manages to reach the controller desk and copies all the locations of the Widows who are spreaded all over the world and copies it into a portable drive. They started the bomb and when it exploded and the red room was falling down Black widow took to vale from there when they managed to survive from the explosion. Vostokoff and Shostokoff to escape from the place where as Belavo takes out Dreyvok from the ship and kills him.

Black widow helps Belova to escape from the place using the Parachute as she and Atonia have the last fight between them. To fix the problem with Antnia she injected a Vail red dust into her and freed her from mind control instead of killing her. All the other windows appear along with Belova , Vostokoff and left Black Widow behind. Belova gave Black Widow her vest so that she could remember her and Black widow gave her the last remaining vail and the Portable drive which consist of all the information about the Red Room and told her to rescue all other Widows spreaded all over the world. They left with the slowly recovering Antonio and left behind Black Widow who is waiting for his member Ross and Jem. weeks later she came with blonde hair and met with mason supplying the information and went to rescue the avengers from the drift.

End Credit Explanation

As of the end credit scene set from the place after the death of Black Widow Belova meets valentina near a Fountain beside the Grave of Black Widow. Now Belova took her new task of killing Client Barton who thinks that he is responsible for Black Widow’s death.

Reference To Other Movies And Connections

After watching the movie we could say that Belova will be replacing the position of the Black widow and now she will be doing all her mission and according to the plot we might see Belova joining Avengers in future movies and this movie also shows a link between the Captain America : Civil War and Avengers : End Game which will show us the reason behind Black Widows life sacrifice for the world.

Production

After the Phase 3 of Marvel Cinematic Universe Kevin Feige officially announced on 24th August 2019 that he wanted to create a movie Black Widow after the last movie that is Black Widow whose script writing has already started after one year. On 9thJuly 2021 they officially released the movie and named Black Widow.

Ratings , Review And Where To Watch Black Widow

The movie released on 9th July 2021 and it was a blockbuster movie in theaters and got ratings of some of the famous sites like 7.4 in IMDB , 81% in rotten tomatoes , 72% in metacritic. Now the movie can be watched in Disney+ which is an OTT platform. The length of the movie is around 2 hours 20 minutes without the post credit scene.
